I experimented with dozens of printers, calibration devices, paper and media, ink and other devices, and at least 30 software packages in the course of writing this book. Several manufacturers of printers, ink, paper, and other digital print devices provided me with products, and/or access to their technical folks. All the manufacturers who provided devices and expertise did so with no strings attached in terms of the content of what I wrote, although in a number of cases they provided useful technical reviews of content.
